The role will be primarily based in Havant, with occasional travel required to support sites in Westbury and Gloucester as business needs dictate.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee daily facilities operations, contractor management, statutory compliance, and maintenance activities across multiple sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and in accordance with legislative and business requirements.
This position requires strong leadership capability, excellent organisational skills, and experience working within a facilities or maintenance environment, ideally within the defence sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide day-to-day supervision and direction of facilities maintenance operations.
2. Take first-line responsibility for health and safety activities, including:Reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)Issuing permits to workMonitoring safe systems of work
3. Coordinate and manage maintenance activities delivered by external contractors.
4. Monitor contractor performance and report on issues, delays, or non-conformances.
5. Ensure all statutory inspections for facilities assets are completed on time.
6. Monitor landlord compliance for inspections and maintenance activities outside of Lockheed Martin responsibility.
7. Develop and continuously improve maintenance job plans for facilities assets.
8. Review maintenance reports and certification for accuracy prior to CMMS closure or arranging remedial works.
9. Act as Facilities representative for project handovers and acceptance of new plant and equipment.
10. Collect asset registration data and support the ongoing development of the CMMS database.
11. Use and support the CMMS system on a daily basis to manage workflow and maintenance records.
12. Ensure Facilities-related Command Media and documentation remain compliant with business and legislative requirements.
13. Act as the primary point of contact between Lockheed Martin and landlord facilities providers.
14. Coordinate workload prioritisation for both in-house teams and external contractors.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
15. Previous supervisory or management experience within a facilities or maintenance environment.
16. Professional experience in facilities management or a related field, ideally within the defence industry.
17. Experience managing both in-house maintenance teams and external contractors.
18. Working knowledge of CMMS platforms such as Maximo or IBM TRIRIGA.
19. Good understanding of relevant facilities legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
20. Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
21. Basic understanding of project management methodologies.
22. Ability to review and understand RAMS and issue permits to work.
23. Experience hosting and coordinating external contractors on site.
24. Strong organisational and communication skills.
Essential Qualifications
25. NEBOSH Level 2 Health & Safety qualification (minimum requirement).

The role holder will not be authorised to provide services to or on behalf of Lockheed Martin UK that are directly related to business development, acquisition, or sales activities involving Lockheed Martin UK customers or prospective customers. Any exception must receive prior written approval from the authorised Lockheed Martin UK Integrated Systems representative in Havant.
