Rising Talent is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established engineering company, based in Eurocentral. The successful candidate will be integral to assembling and testing various systems within vacuum furnaces. This role requires a detail-oriented and skilled individual to undertake mechanical assembly duties, including working with materials like mild steel, stainless steel, and copper, while embracing a culture of quality workmanship and innovation.
£18.02 per hour
Day shift - Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4.15pm and Friday 7.30 – 12.30pm
Overtime available
Responsibilities:
Mechanical assembly and test of water manifolds, pump skids, and interconnections within a vacuum furnace.
Installation of vacuum pipelines and components, ensuring bolted connections are secure.
Running pneumatic lines from valves and devices, ensuring operational efficiency.
Experience in gas line installation using stainless steel materials.
Conduct fault finding on mechanical systems as required.
Carry out inspections and vacuum/pressure testing of components (training provided).
Perform on-site repairs and installations at customer locations.
Additional mechanical assembly duties involving precision and quality work.
Requirements:
Time served mechanical fitter
Proven experience as a mechanical fitter with a strong mechanical background.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and copper.
Brazing experience is advantageous.
Familiarity with pneumatic systems and vacuum installations.
Flexibility to develop into other areas and willingness to learn.
Forklift and scissor lift licences, as well as confined space training, preferred.
Basic welding skills and hydraulic circuitry experience are a plus
