Do you want to help shape the future of tax e‑compliance and digitisation at Amazon? We seek a Tax Manager to join the eCompliance Hub within Tax's International Stores organisation. The role is focused on providing primary VAT/Indirect Tax support on Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) programs to meet real‑time electronic invoicing (e‑invoicing) and digital tax reporting requirements. There may be future opportunities to provide VAT/Indirect Tax support on other core business processes and programs.
You will provide VAT/GST guidance on P2P processes to technology teams, finance stakeholders and business operations. Your day might include analyzing how new e‑invoicing requirements apply to our systems, designing tax test cases for upcoming releases, or partnering with country tax leads to solve complex compliance challenges. You’ll work on undefined problems that require research of tax legislation, proposal of pragmatic solutions and clear communication of tax concepts to non‑tax professionals. While your primary focus is VAT/GST impacts on P2P, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in Compliance, Direct Tax and Withholding Tax to ensure comprehensive solutions.
The eCompliance Hub Team’s mission is to lead Amazon to comply with current and emerging E‑invoicing requirements, in a customer‑obsessed, rapidly scalable, automated way, such that we are always audit‑ready, earning trust of our suppliers, customers, business partners and tax authorities. We do this via the right planning, program management, development of solutions/product capabilities, policy influencing and playbooks.
