IT Service Desk Team Leader – Edinburgh - up to £40K plus benefits (5 days in the office)
We're looking for an experienced IT Service Desk Team Leader to join our Edinburgh-based IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small, high-performing support team while driving service excellence and continuous improvement across the business.
The Role
As Service Desk Team Leader, you'll oversee daily service operations, act as the escalation point for complex technical issues, and work closely with the wider IT team to maintain and enhance service standards. You'll play a key role in improving processes, strengthening knowledge sharing, and supporting ongoing technology initiatives.
While primarily Edinburgh-based, occasional travel to other sites may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop the IT Service Desk team
Manage ticket queues to ensure timely, high-quality resolutions
Act as escalation point for complex support issues
Enhance documentation, processes, and knowledge management
Support IT upgrades, projects, and service improvements
What We're Looking For
2+ years' experience in IT Support / Service Desk (with some leadership exposure)
Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and endpoint devices
Professional Services experience (Legal/Financial) beneficial
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
Driving licence desirable
