Salary: £32,916 - £45,351, M1 - M6

Contract: Full Time / Fixed term until 31 August 2026

Purpose:

You will play a key role in helping every child succeed through high-quality teaching and a shared commitment to achievement. You will have opportunities to grow your career through subject leadership, mentoring Early Career Teachers and coaching colleagues, all supported by our evidence-informed approach to professional development. Duties (further details in the attached application pack):

1. Support the vision and aims of Charlton Wood Primary Academy and the wider Trust.
2. Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching that ensures strong progress for all pupils.
3. Plan, monitor and evaluate effective programmes of work, including homework and assessments.
4. Make reasonable adjustments for SEND pupils and work with SENCO, parents and external agencies to provide targeted support.
5. Build positive relationships with parents, meeting regularly to review progress and set clear targets.
6. Implement changes and initiatives as directed by the senior leadership team.
7. Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating learning environment.
8. Promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, emotional and cultural development while upholding high expectations for behaviour.
9. Take responsibility for your own professional development, engaging with CPD, appraisal processes and evidence-informed practice.
10. Contribute to the wider school community through curriculum enrichment, extra-curricular clubs, collective worship and safeguarding responsibilities.

Fluency Duty

This role has been identified as falling within the definition of requiring fluency in spoken English. You will be required to speak English with confidence and be able to conduct a conversation and answer questions for extended periods of time.
