This is an exciting opportunity to join theCommunity Forensic Psychiatry Serviceas aClinical Nurse Specialist. The service provides specialist care, support, and assessment for adults within the community across Cambridgeshire. We areseekinga motivated and reflective practitioner witha strong senseofteamworking, able to engage effectively with the multidisciplinary team and wider stakeholders. The ability to build andmaintainprofessional relationships with apersonable and approachable manneris key to ensuring a shared vision and promotinghigh standardsof care. The post holder will provide both clinical and managerial leadership, offering specialist knowledge, skills, and guidance to the team. This includes supporting service development through evaluation, audit, and the identification and implementation of improvements that enhance outcomes for service users. You will also be responsible for ensuring safe and effective clinical practice through supervision, mentorship, and the promotion of evidence-based interventions. The service adopts a compassion-focused approach, ensuring the highest level of care provision for both service users and staff. The ideal candidate will understand and champion this ethos, embedding compassion, collaboration, and recovery-oriented practice into all aspects of care delivery. Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence

Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services, not only via inpatient and primary care settings, but also within the community. These services include children's, adult and older people's mental health, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care and liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, research and development.

* 1. To work within the Forensic Psychiatry Community Service to provide specialist forensic nursing assessment and care planning.
* 2. To take a lead role in the care planning process, take on care co-ordination responsibilities for a small caseload and work within the Care Programme Approach ensuring that Service and Trust policies are adhered to.
* 3. To take a lead role and work with those people who have more complex and challenging needs across the caseload.
* 4. To develop practice within the teams in the assessment of health and well - being needs.
* 5. Working closely with the Consultant Forensic Psychiatrists, act as a central link in the ongoing management of complex cases for the team.
* 6. To provide specialist knowledge and advice to other agencies for the purposes of public protection.
* 7. To provide written reports in respect of Mental Health Tribunals as required.
* 8. To act as a 'social supervisor' for those people who remain subject to mental health act restrictions whilst living out of hospital.
* 9. Take part in the evaluation of the care of individuals at review meetings, case conferences, ward rounds etc.
* 10. To attend and contribute to team meetings, providing specialist professional advice and support to staff regarding the management of individual service users and their programmes of care.
