We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health and Benefits Consulting team at Mercer Marsh Benefits. This role will be based in London or Chichester. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

Within this role you will develop and maintain a portfolio of Healthcare and Protection clients, by providing quality consulting advice and ongoing service

1. Ensure that revenue from this portfolio is profitable and to expand business lines and service delivery where appropriate
2. Manage and develop strong client relationships and win new business
3. Work pro-actively with internal teams to deliver client expectations in line with agreed client account plans

Operational

4. Identify business opportunities from client portfolio and your own network
5. Provide a service compliant with all procedures and Mercer Code of Professional Conduct and the FCA
6. Participate in appropriate internal forums
7. Maintain required industry and technical knowledge
8. Work with support team assigned to ensure the delivery of services to each client in line with Mercer standards
9. Compliance with Mercer and MMB systems
10. Manage client projects to successful conclusion
11. Compliance with sales process and tools
12. Where a Key Account is owned by a consultant, the consultant must adhere to all the protocols and goals as set out for the Key Accounts team

Clients

13. Retain and develop profitable client portfolio to include new clients/service lines
14. Build relationships with key decision makers
15. Win new mandates
16. Take overall responsibility for the delivery to the client of the agreed services
17. Consult with client to agree and document needs and objectives and ensure delivery of these objectives
18. Hold periodic review meetings with client
19. Client action planning in conjunction with client team
20. Manage insurer meetings with clients
21. Ensure all clients have compliant engagement documentation, in line with agreed process

Financial

22. Adhere to Mercer billing standards
23. Agree and monitor client fee and service specifications to ensure continued profitability
24. Own personal and client financial targets
25. Manage WIP & Debt

People

26. Act as role model with integrity and professionalism
27. Network with peers internally and externally
28. Maintain technical knowledge to the required standard
29. Work with client team to deliver a profitable seamless service
30. Recognise success within the client team
31. Network with peer groups internally and externally

What you need to have:

32. Financial and Commercial acumen (including fee negotiation skills)
33. Related business experience
34. Achievement orientated
35. Consulting and relationship management skills
36. Technical, product and process knowledge
37. In depth Healthcare and Group Risk knowledge is essential
38. Inter-personal, communication and time management skills
39. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
