About Kensington Aldridge Academy
KAA is an 11 – 18 academy situated in the heart of Notting Hill. We opened in brand new buildings in 2014 with just Year 7 and have grown year by year.
KAA has grown to become one of the top academies in the UK. DfE performance tables show we are in the top 5% of schools nationally in terms of KS5 Progress. Our Ofsted report grades us outstanding in all categories and describes standards as “exceptional”. In 2018 we were awarded TES Secondary School of the Year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Help design an engaging and challenging curriculum that enables all students to achieve at the highest level.
* Help lead and manage a professional community of subject teachers to ensure the highest possible standards, delivering training, coaching and mentoring to your team as required.
* Put in place systems at a department level that lead to 100% good and outstanding teaching (with a focus on outstanding)
* Put in place systems for tracking, monitoring and accountability for the progress and attainment of students.
* Ensure marking and feedback is of the highest standard across your department, and in line with KAA guidelines.
* Model exemplary practice in terms of managing difficult behaviour from students, and establish a culture of high expectations and mutual respect between staff and students in your department.
* Help design subject assessments that are suitably rigorous and delivered in line with the KAA assessment policy.
* Deliver excellent GCSE and A Level results within your subject, year on year.
