What We’re Looking For – And Who This Suits
This role would suit someone who combines technical depth with natural leadership. You’ll likely recognise yourself in many of the points below:

Strong PCB layout experience within a design-for-manufacture environment
*
Confident using Altium, Cadence (OrCAD/Allegro), or Siemens PADS
*
Experience designing high-speed digital, analogue or mixed-signal PCBs
*
Knowledge of fine-pitch components (BGA, high pin-count devices)
*
Solid understanding of DFM / DFT principles
*
Familiarity with PCB fabrication and assembly processes
*
Comfortable reviewing schematics and layout documentation
*
Able to deliver to deadlines and manage workload effectively
*
Experience coordinating or mentoring other designers (formally or informally)
*
Organised, methodical, and calm under pressure
*
Comfortable communicating with customers and internal engineering teams
*
Proactive in identifying improvements to processes and standards
Highly desirable (but not essential):
*
CID or CID+ certification
*
Signal Integrity / Power Integrity experience
*
Impedance-controlled routing
*
EMC-conscious PCB design
*
Experience working to IPC or ECSS standards
*
Knowledge of UL, CE, FCC requirements
*
Experience using PDM systems
