In your role as a Tech Lead Security Engineer, you’ll be responsible for digital security, leading a team through the security lifecycle on JLR vehicles, architecting new security features, reviewing documentation, liaising with third parties to create and review cybersecurity standards, and managing projects when needed.
You’ll develop robust security solutions and practices for real-world deployment, documenting and organising information to create clear insights into our security operations and their importance.

1. Lead system architecture and development for new security solutions, on a wide range of in-vehicle and cloud implementations.
2. Proficient technical expertise in system architecture and development focused on security using Agile methodologies.
3. Develop security standards, systems, and solutions for worldwide deployment, with strong knowledge of communication protocols for in-vehicle, LAN, and WAN.
4. Leadership and teamwork are vital; work collaboratively and take ownership of projects.
5. Deliver projects on schedule with robust communication skills, capable of working under pressure.
What You’ll Need:
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, you should possess:
1. Experience leading a development team on the architectural/technical side delivering software.
2. Experience in automotive or IoT sectors (e.g., embedded security requirements, security research, system exploitation, cybersecurity engineering).
3. Strong security background (e.g., cryptography, key management, firewalls, software integrity).
4. Development experience using low-level programming languages.
5. Ability to conceptualize, define, and implement security systems and architectures.
