To thrive in this role, you will need to be a highly experienced social services occupational therapist as this is a distinct role separate from health OT. You must be knowledgeable about assessing home environments and recommending appropriate adaptations and equipment. Familiarity with the Care Act and the Disabled Facilities Grants process is essential. A valid HCPC registration and a full driver's licence are required for this role as it necessitates travel to various locations in Waltham Forest.
