About the Role: As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, well-planned lessons that cater to the varying needs of pupils across the primary age range. You will play a vital role in shaping your pupils’ academic progress while supporting their emotional and social development. Working closely with teaching assistants and leaders, you’ll ensure that all children are inspired, supported, and challenged to achieve their best. Key Responsibilities of a Class Teacher: Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum Plan and assess learning to ensure strong progress for all pupils Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment Establish and maintain high standards for behaviour and learning Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies Support the personal development and well-being of pupils Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to school-wide assessments Take part in staff training, meetings, and school activities as required Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure pupil safety at all times Skills & Requirements for a Class Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is essential Experience teaching in a UK primary school (EYFS, KS1 or KS2) Strong classroom management and effective communication skills Passionate about delivering a high standard of teaching and learning Willingness to work collaboratively within a team Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why Join GSL Education?
