As Shift Manager you will support the management team to deliver consistent results and be the best place to shop and work. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a 2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

* Play an active role in your store to "sell a 1 & save a 1" to help drive sales.
* Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
* Engage, develop and retain great people.
* Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
* Support team engagement in your store.
* Play a part in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
* Take a proactive approach to personal development and share knowledge to upskill the team.
* Complete actions set by your line manager on the back of the daily floor walk.
* Bring a positive approach to service, both in-store and delivered at the doorstep.
* Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes.
* Provide the best digital service by implementing all "One Best Way" processes.

Qualifications
* Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
* Effective communication skills with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time.
* Ability to plan and organise the shift, using every member of the team.
* Capability to provide balanced feedback to improve performance of colleagues.
* Ability to set the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.
