Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Leader to join The Watches of Switzerland Group as Head of Retail Mappin and Webb. In this pivotal role, you will be fully accountable for driving growth, operational efficiency, and enhancing the iconic Mappin & Webb brand impact across all its retail locations. This is a leadership role that involves guiding Regional Directors and City Leaders within the Mappin & Webb structure, setting the standard for business execution, exceptional client experiences (Xenia), collaborative teamwork, and outstanding people leadership, all while championing the unique heritage and luxury positioning of Mappin & Webb.
You will be responsible for the overall performance of the Mappin & Webb fascia, measured through key performance indicators. Your remit includes overseeing all aspects of Mappin & Webb's showroom operations and ensuring that the fascia plans deliver progressive business results. This will be achieved by developing and implementing effective strategies to maximise sales and profitability specifically for Mappin & Webb, diligently managing budgets for the fascia, guaranteeing exceptional client experiences that align with the brand's prestige, nurturing strong relationships with relevant brand partners, and cultivating an engaging, high-performance culture within your Mappin & Webb teams.
As the Head of Retail for Mappin & Webb, you will be leading a distinguished British heritage brand with a rich history dating back to 1775. Renowned for its timeless craftsmanship, superior quality, and elegant design, Mappin & Webb holds multiple Royal Warrants, underscoring its long-standing association with the British Royal Family, most notably as the current Crown Jeweller. The brand offers a diverse range of exquisite products, including fine jewellery collections, luxury watches, and elegant silverware, all reflecting a legacy of excellence and sophistication. This role offers a unique opportunity to strategically lead and elevate a truly iconic name in the luxury retail landscape.
About You
* Significant experience of a senior leadership role within retail, managing a team of senior managers.
* Proven track record of successfully leading and managing multi-store retail operations on a national scale and delivering commercial success.
* Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of retail financials, KPIs, and profitability drivers.
* Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team management skills, with experience in managing senior-level individuals, including experience in leading and motivating high-performing teams
* Strategic thinking ability, with the capacity to develop and execute effective retail strategies.
* Customer-centric mindset, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
