To support the Events Manager in delivering and developing all aspects of the event and functions operations at Hoebridge.
To supervise a team of events and functions professionals, motivating and leading them to deliver exceptional service that meets and exceeds customer needs.
To safeguard the long-term success of Burhill Golf Ltd for its stakeholders, the Events Supervisor will display determination and focus in guiding all elements of the events and functions area to the highest level, ensuring that Hoebridge Golf Centre is recognized as the premier family-centric golf and leisure destination of the surrounding area.
MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS:
The Events Supervisor will be measured against key criteria:
* Operating profit (derived from F&B, events, functions)
* Annual staff engagement measurement
* Customer loyalty via Net Promoter Score (NPS)
* Reviews from Food and Beverage Manager, Events Manager, General Manager, operational feedback, and personal objectives
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic
* Collaborate with the Sales team and the Events Manager to align all aspects of the events and functions division with the club's overall strategy.
* Influence and positively manage the organizational culture, prioritizing team development and challenge.
* Stay informed about changes in the events and functions market to identify new opportunities.
Operations
* Oversee all events and functions, ensuring the team delivers consistent, exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations.
* Review all bookings for catered activities, ensuring proper preparations are made in advance.
* Manage daily clubhouse operations, including restaurant and events areas.
* Maintain positive relationships with members and guests, providing a warm welcome and high service standards.
* Conduct daily property tours to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
* Process orders using the ESP/check system, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
* Serve drinks adhering to compliance standards, using appropriate glassware.
* Maintain sanitation and cleaning procedures, keeping service areas clean and organized.
* Complete opening and closing procedures, including cashing up and security checks.
* Follow all company policies and procedures regarding attendance, dress code, and conduct.
* Achieve a minimum pass in the Food and Beverage and Food Safety audits.
* Work with the Head Chef to ensure high standards in food offerings for events and functions.
* Support the sales team and Events Manager in marketing efforts to maximize sales, including flyers, newspapers, and promotional events.
* Handle customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
* Oversee maintenance of assets, inventory, and resources in the Food & Beverage division.
* Monitor health and safety procedures, ensuring they are well communicated and enforced.
* Assist as a Duty Manager when required by the General Manager.
People
* Manage team performance, recognizing high performers and addressing underperformance.
* Communicate regularly and transparently with team members about objectives and performance.
* Participate in recruiting and onboarding, ensuring legal and ethical standards are met.
* Ensure team compliance with training standards via the BGL Academy.
* Build a strong network within the team to support collaboration.
* Assist in controlling labor costs and adhering to budgets.
* Monitor purchasing policies and ensure compliance with procedures.
Marketing
* Maximize sales through effective marketing of functions, events, and promotions.
Customer Experience
* Ensure all team members provide outstanding service during events and functions to maximize customer satisfaction.
