Cams Hall are looking to recruit a confident, flexible individual with a can-do attitude, who can work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Playing a key role in delivering outstanding service to office and conferences clients, while maintaining high standards of building upkeep throughout the day-to-day running of this Grade II* listed property.
About the role:
A 25-hour week between the hours of 7.30am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Additional weekend hours may occasionally be required to support our Events and Wedding services.
Duties & Main Responsibilities:
Conference Events & Client Services: Welcoming and supporting guests, delegates, and clients. Responsible for set-up and take-down of furniture and equipment required for pre-booked events, ensuring the rooms are ready in the configuration requested. Maintain a clean and organised environment throughout each event. Responding promptly and professionally to client enquiries or concerns, identifying and address any additional needs.
Building Operations & Maintenance: Undertaking minor repairs and decoration. Monitoring of defects both pro-actively and in response to the reports of others. This may include dealing with any health and safety issues (spillages, breakages etc.), reporting action taken or faults to be rectified as per agreed procedure. Have a keen eye for cost savings and minimise wastage and environmental impact of the building and activities within. Maintaining the building and grounds, keeping the site clear of litter and emptying bins regularly. Monitor stock levels of essential supplies and liaise with the reception team to ensure replenishments are ordered in a timely manner. Assisting with office and furniture moves as required.
Health and Safety & Fire Marshal: to act as first aider and fire marshal, to be familiar with fire prevention and evacuation procedures, assisting and effectively directing in the unlikely case of an emergency event. Able to conduct statutory checks and maintain accurate records.
Building Security: Implementation of security procedures particularly in relation to routine and non-routine opening and closure of the premises. Maintaining awareness of client, visitor and contractor movements.
Overall support: assist the team and the building manager with any additional and random tasks that may arise and be required for the building operation.

* Undertake training and development on Health and Safety
* Previous events, hospitality or maintenance experience is a bonus, but not essential
