Overview
The Loss Prevention Team exists to identify, prevent, and reduce losses across the business. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to minimize exposure to theft, fraud, and stock loss, while safeguarding our colleagues, customers, data, and assets.
The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for protecting company assets by minimizing losses resulting from theft, fraud, and other criminal activities. This role ensures that company policies and procedures are consistently followed to maintain a safe and secure environment for both customers and colleagues. A proactive mindset is essential, with a focus on driving continuous improvement in loss prevention strategies to stay ahead of evolving security threats.
This role will cover our northern store network, including locations across the North Midlands, Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Scotland.
What you'll be doing
* Support our store teams with Store Visits to identify Vulnerabilities/Risk
* Assessment of external and internal threats, providing accurate and timely responses.
* Collaborate cross functionally with all Dunelm Stakeholders, SOC, Fraud, Stores, Operations, Property & Commercial teams
* Work with our third part suppliers and the 45 Police forces that cover the UK.
* Support with Investigation Packs to secure Convictions, with Police Collaboration when appropriate.
* Stay informed about current legislation, policies, and procedures concerning crime reduction and their potential impact on the business and your responsibilities
* Respond to and assess Security /Threat Alerts sharing with relevant stakeholders.
* Draft tactical and strategic support plans for Stores affected by persistent issues.
* Deploy Guarding resource where appropriate whilst liaising with SOC/RCs etc.
* Manage and oversee specific crime prevention projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
* Monitor the progress and impact of crime reduction activities, evaluate their effectiveness.
* Problem solving and able to tackle current and upcoming security challenges head-on, providing practical solutions and insights to optimise efficiency.
* Engage & Communicate with Regional Coaches & Store Teams
* Conduct Training with Store Teams where appropriate
