Based in the Bilborough area and in our newly furnished, purpose-built support unit, we are looking for equally passionate and motivated individuals to join our team supporting those living with learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs. We need passionate Support Workers for both day and night shifts working on 8-8 shifts. Whether you are looking for full-time, part-time, or temporary bank work, we are keen to speak to you. To be successful in your application, applicants must have empathy, compassion, resilience, and dedication. Have or be working towards NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, have previous UK experience of working in a similar environment, and have the drive to make a difference in the person-centred care we provide. Responsibilities (Although the list is not exhaustive): * Help service users live full, active lives based on their preferences and needs, following their support and care plans, and contribute to plan development when needed. * Support individuals to stay safe, taking appropriate action to safeguard their welfare and protect them from abuse wherever possible. * Provide emotional support when needed, maintaining a person-centred approach. * Support service users to participate in chosen social activities and services in their community, manage their finances and medication responsibly, help with practical tasks around the home, and respectfully support with personal care, hygiene, and healthcare. * Be an informal point of contact for those in the service users' circle of support (e.g., families and social workers). * Accurately report and record any issues related to the care and support of our service users to monitor their health and wellbeing. * Comply with Health and Safety regulations and have regard for the health, safety, and welfare of others. * Form appropriate relationships with those we care for and maintain professional boundaries in work. * Work within organisational policies, procedures, and guidance. * Demonstrate the organisation's values and behaviours in their work. * Drive company vehicles and buses, where required and if you have a license. * Identify issues and address them at the earliest opportunity.
