Overview
Job title: Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Part Time. Responsible for assisting in clinical care and administrative tasks to support smooth patient flow and help the practice meet QOF and CQC requirements. Works under the supervision of nurses and GPs, contributing to health promotion, chronic disease management, and routine patient care.
Responsibilities
* New NHS Health Checks and new patient health checks
* ECG recording
* Phlebotomy
* Urinalysis and specimen processing
* Chaperoning duties
* Blood pressure recording
* Vitamin B12 injections and flu vaccinations
* Diabetes checks including foot checks
* Pre-diabetes and diet/lifestyle advice
* Hypertension reviews
* Fridge checks and vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
* Restocking consulting rooms and preparing environments/equipment for patient care
* Assisting GPs during minor surgery as required

New Otley Road Medical Practice is a GP practice based at Hillside Bridge Health Centre and The Family Practice. We are committed to providing excellent patient care and are a teaching practice for nursing and GP medical students.
Requirements
Essential
* GCSE grade A–C in English and Maths
* Care Certificate in Health and Social Care
* Phlebotomy Certificate
* ECG

* Spirometry
