Join Sparks Bristol as an Energy Help Desk Volunteer and speak to visitors about reducing their energy use in their home and where they can turn for support with their bills. You will receive training from Bristol Energy Network in basic energy advice and will be using resources from BEN and the Centre for Sustainable Energy.
This is a great opportunity to develop public engagement skills, gain experience with the local community, and get involved with organisations leading on energy use and support in the heart of Bristol.
You don’t need to be an expert in energy use or advice, simply someone who’s friendly and approachable. We’d love to hear from you if:
* You’re friendly and comfortable approaching visitors to start a conversation
* You’re punctual, organised and reliable
* You are interested in supporting people to reduce their energy use and signposting them to support if they’re struggling to pay their bills
How to get involved:
* Come along to a volunteer induction to find out more about the role and Sparks itself.
* You’ll receive details of a pre-recorded training webinar, which you can watch in your own time.
* You’ll then start attending sessions at Sparks with an experienced energy help desk volunteer.

Sparks
Sparks is a department store with a difference. It's a vibrant, positive venue where visitors can explore what a greener, fairer and more creative future looks like. Sparks brings organisations and individuals from across the city together to pilot new ways to better serve our community and address the climate, ecological and cost of living crisis. We'd love you to get involved in this unique project located in the heart of Bristol, in the old M&S building on Broadmead.
We’re looking to build a team of dedicated volunteers to help make Sparks happen.
"The positivity and sense of community was radiating in Bristol today. It was lush to be part of the volunteering team, what a warm and friendly bunch!" - Sam, Sparks volunteer
