Mechanical Design Engineer – Process Machinery Design
Responsibilities
* Develop 3D and 2D designs for specialised, automated machinery using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Requirements
* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
* Strong engineering mechanical machinery design background.
* Ability to work independently or collaboratively and meet deadlines.
* Direct interaction with suppliers to obtain pricing and delivery schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
* Hands–on shop floor experience in machining, welding, fabrication, etc.
* Experience in designing food machinery and systems.
* Knowledge in the following areas:
o Steam systems and energy calculations
o Fluid systems, pumps, and piping
o Pneumatics
o Stress calculations
o Motor/gearbox sizing for applications
o Sheet metal development
o Machined part tolerances
Working Hours
8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday). Overtime may be available.
Location
Huntingdon – St. Neots – Sandy area. Own transport required due to location.
