Temp All Staffing is seeking a practical and driven Assistant Construction Manager to join a large-scale farming estate. This is a unique role that combines traditional agricultural structural work with diverse construction projects across the group’s portfolio.
Job Role
Working directly under the Construction Manager, you will help lead the development and maintenance of the estate. Your work will range from essential orchard infrastructure and crop protection systems to varied building projects, including campsites and site-wide developments. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for someone who enjoys overseeing projects from start to finish.
1. Project Support: Assist in planning and delivering construction projects (buildings, fencing, and sitework) on time and within budget.
2. Estate Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of orchard structures and crop protection systems to ensure high standards are met across the farm.
3. Cost Management: Help monitor departmental efficiency and find smart ways to work that keep project costs low without compromising quality.
4. Team Leadership: Supervise the construction crew on-site, providing training and motivation while ensuring all work meets technical specifications.
5. Operational Cover: Learn the ropes from the Construction Manager to provide essential cover during weekends or holidays, ensuring the smooth running of the department.
6. Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing PPE standards, H&S legislation, and ensuring all team training records are up to date.
