John Lobb is a renowned British bootmaker with a bespoke atelier in Paris, a By Request service, and a men's and ready-to-wear collection produced in Northampton. For over 150 years, John Lobb has upheld the highest standards of craftsmanship and design in handmade shoes and boots, and has been part of the Hermès group since 1976.
Key Responsibilities
1. Produce CAD designs for new styles, creating patterns that are cut from acrylic using in-house lasers.
2. Assist with grading new designs each season and coordinate external tooling for patterns.
3. Send digital pattern files to an automated cutting machine, ensuring proper engineering to prevent issues.
4. Ensure leather laser work is completed promptly and to high standards.
5. Manage urgent trials, analyze feedback, and communicate effectively with all parties.
6. Manage stock of pattern and grade trials, issue pairs for wear testing, analyze feedback, and communicate findings.
7. Check incoming last deliveries for consistency and specifications.
8. Assist in setting up MTO products on ERP software, creating work tickets and Bills of Materials.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* CAD design qualification, degree with CAD training, or industry experience.
* Experience with CAD/CAM software.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
