Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a talented and motivated aerodynamicist to join our Aero Science & Technology Team. Based at our state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility in the Oxfordshire countryside, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge experimental technologies that drive car performance in Formula One.

If you are hands‑on, detail‑oriented, passionate about aerodynamics, and thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment, this could be your next step in motorsport.

The Role

As an Aerodynamicist in the Aero Science & Technology team, you will play a key role in developing, operating, and maintaining experimental technologies that provide critical insights into the flow field around the wind tunnel model. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the aerodynamics department to ensure high-quality data and support innovation in testing methodologies.

This is a hands‑on role that combines technical expertise with problem‑solving and teamwork, contributing directly to the success of our aerodynamic development programme.

The Person

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a strong foundation in aeronautical engineering and a keen interest in experimental aerodynamics. You’ll be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, solving problems under pressure, and collaborating effectively with colleagues. A proactive attitude and attention to detail are essential.

Key Skills & Experience

* A Master’s degree (or higher) in Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience with experimental technologies such as PIV and PPT
* A strong understanding of wind tunnel testing techniques
* Proficiency in coding and algorithm implementation

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Pattern

This is a factory‑based role at our Enstone Technical Centre in the Oxfordshire countryside. Standard working hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. A flexible attitude to working hours is required, with the expectation that you will work as necessary to meet the demands of the role. Occasional weekend work and travel will also be required.
