A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive school in Stretford. This role involves leading a KS1 class of 10 pupils, supported by three experienced Teaching Assistants, providing a strong staff-to-student ratio and a highly supportive classroom environment.
The school is looking for a teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and who can create an inclusive, structured and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.
👩🏫 The Role
✨ Lead a KS1 SEND class of 10 pupils with the support of 3 Teaching Assistants
✨ Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
✨ Support pupils working towards EHCP targets
✨ Create a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment
✨ Work closely with support staff, SENCO and external professionals
✨ Monitor progress and celebrate pupils’ achievements
✨ Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour
✅ About You
🎓 Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
📚 Experience working with pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs)
💡 Creative, patient and adaptable teaching approach
👥 Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a small classroom team
📋 Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning
