The Role
As Head of Engineering, you will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing the engineering function and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and innovative solutions across projects. Your responsibilities include leading engineering teams, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, managing risk, maintaining technical standards, supporting business growth through client engagement, and championing continuous improvement. You will also support talent development and resource planning to sustain engineering capability over the long term.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering/Technical discipline
5+ years in a senior engineering management role within a regulated industry
Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams and projects
Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing skills, and financial acumen
Knowledge of risk management, governance, assurance, and compliant engineering practices
Experience supporting business development and bid activities
Broad engineering knowledge, including familiarity with site operations, waste management, and decommissioning
