We have a great opportunity for a software project leader to join our team and contribute to the development of current and future embedded software systems. Employees receive 25 days of paid annual leave per calendar year, in addition to all statutory and public holidays. After 5, 10 and 15 years of service, an additional day of annual leave is added to your allowance at each of these milestones. You can also enjoy more time off by purchasing up to an additional five days holiday through payroll.

Our MBDA Retirement Savings Plan is a “Defined Contribution” plan in the Mercer Master Trust. The standard contributions are 4% of an employee’s base salary and 6% employer contributions. You can increase both employee and employer contributions by up to 2%.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

* Proven ability to technically manage a team of software developers.
* Project‑management skills to ensure good planning, delivery and cost control of software.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the company across a range of mediums, including reporting of progress, blockers and achievements.
* Good understanding of software and the software development lifecycle, including configuration‑management tools and techniques, to provide effective oversight.
* Ability to elicit and understand requirements and available design solutions to produce accurate and cost‑effective estimates of work to be undertaken.
* Understanding of UML and C, C++ and/or Ada languages.
* Responsibility for developing on‑board software for the next generation of missile systems.

Salary & Working Arrangements

Salary: Circa £70,000, depending on experience. Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4‑5 days per week on‑site as required by workload classification.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Dynamic Working

Security Clearance
