The shift pattern for this position is 09:00 – 17:00.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Greater Glasgow & Clyde (GG&C) for an experienced Technical Specialist to join our eHealth Directory & Mail team. Applicants must be able to provide evidence of significant experience of supporting Microsoft platform technologies including Active Directory, Exchange & Outlook, Server storage and O365 environments. Applicants must be able to collaborate with and contribute to a team of technical specialists and have a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues.
Specifically:
1. To provide technical leadership and knowledge to the Mail & Directory team
2. To influence, through analysis and negotiation, the introduction of new applications and technologies within NHSGGC and ensure appropriate support processes are documented and performed.
3. To contribute to NHSGG&C having adequate technical skills to support current and future and evolving technologies relevant to Microsoft Mail and storage technologies.
4. To take an active role in the development and implementation of the procedures and management policies required to support the delivery of the IT service.
You should be educated to degree level with a relevant post-graduate standard or equivalent IT professional qualification with significant demonstrable IT Operational experience. You should be qualified in ITIL (Professional Best Practice Qualifications used in Technology Services).
You will be required to demonstrate competencies including excellent team-working and communication skills, written as well as verbal, leadership and organisational skills, commercial awareness, customer focus, analytical and planning skills; ability to present and engage at a high level managerial or clinical audience are required. A proven track record of being able to work under pressure and using own initiative and to multi-task and contribute to complex projects simultaneously is essential as is experience of working across organisational and/or professional boundaries and ability to communicate at all levels.
The post-holder must have a combination of relevant technical knowledge, qualifications, Customer Services and IT skills and experience.
