We are delighted to be working with an established and highly respected regional contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. With an excellent reputation within the construction industry this developer / contractor has built its success through quality delivery, repeat business and long-term client relationships. Based from their North Manchester office, you will oversee a range of new build housing developments across Manchester and Lancashire.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple new build housing projects from procurement through to final account.
You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered successfully whilst maintaining robust commercial control.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial management of new build housing developments
Procurement of subcontractor packages
Preparation and management of subcontract documentation
Cost reporting and forecasting
Valuation and payment of subcontract accounts
Management of variations and change control
Preparation and agreement of final accounts
Identification and management of commercial risks
Liaison with clients, subcontractors and operational teams
Supporting successful project delivery from start to completion
Requirements
Previous experience as a project Quantity Surveyor. xsngvjr
Experience working on residential or new build housing projects preferred
Strong commercial awareness
Good contractual knowledge
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage projects independently
Full UK driving licence
