About this Second in Charge of English role: Support the Head of English in driving standards and outcomes across the department
Deliver consistently excellent teaching across KS3 and KS4
Lead on curriculum development to ensure a rigorous and knowledge-rich English curriculum
Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and sharing best practice
Help shape assessment, intervention and attainment strategies
Contribute to departmental quality assurance and self-evaluation
Play a key role in further strengthening the English provision
What the school is looking for: UK QTS with a strong track record of teaching English
Proven ability to secure strong outcomes in English Language and Literature
Experience supporting or leading curriculum development
