We are seeking 2 Multi Skilled Operatives to join Area 2 of the business to support our ongoing partnership with Orbit; now in its thirteenth year providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams.
Overview
Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide. You will work on void properties preparing houses for tenants and may be involved in larger jobs such as bathroom and kitchen fittings as well as smaller, reactive repairs and maintenance across our portfolio of properties. You’ll work from job to job on your planned route with a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
* Prepare void properties for tenants and carry out general repairs and maintenance
* Participate in larger projects such as bathroom and kitchen fittings
* Undertake reactive repairs and planned maintenance across a portfolio of properties
* Work from planned routes, completing tasks on time to required standards
Qualifications
* Extensive on-the-job experience in multiple trades (e.g., joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering, glazing, painting & decorating, floor laying)
* Hold a Full UK Driving License
* Have own power tools
* Great team player with ability to work independently
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* IT literate (PDA use)
* Ideally hold a trade qualification

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your license for over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
