We are seeking an enthusiastic English teacher to join our team at a distinguished school in Abingdon, starting in January.
Our school, known for its strong academic outcomes, is looking for an English specialist who can teach up to GCSE, with the opportunity to teach A-Level English for the right candidate.
Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers a fantastic chance to contribute to our supportive and academically driven community.
Key Responsibilities: Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to deliver A-Level English for the right candidate.
Develop and refine curriculum materials that align with both school goals and national standards.
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to encourage growth and achievement.
Use data from assessments to inform instruction, address gaps in learning, and provide personalized support for individual students.
Engage in reflective practice, contributing to the school’s improvement plan and self-evaluation.
Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and community initiatives.
Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) .
Experience teaching English in secondary schools.
Strong knowledge of the English national curriculum .
A Bachelor’s degree in English or a related discipline (desirable).
