Project Engineering Manager
Cardiff – Up to £55,000 + Benefits
Position Overview: As a Project Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering capital projects across multiple sites. You’ll be responsible for managing projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required performance standards.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of capital projects across multiple manufacturing sites.
* Manage the full project lifecycle from initial concept and business case through to installation and handover.
* Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout.
* Work closely with production, engineering, and senior leadership teams to align project delivery.
* Manage contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
* Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes and project delivery.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and engineering standards.
* Provide regular updates on project progress, budgets, and timelines.
* Support long‑term engineering strategy and future site investment plans.
Qualifications
* Strong background in project engineering within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience delivering capital investment projects.
* Experience managing budgets and delivering projects to agreed financial targets.
* Solid understanding of continuous improvement and manufacturing best practices.
* Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability.
* Experience working with systems such as SAP or similar tools.
* Relevant engineering qualification (degree or equivalent experience).
