Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will lead a management team across production, supply chain, projects, and QHSE. You will have full autonomy to improve manufacturing metrics, focusing on efficiency, growth, and high performance.
As Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for developing strategies aligned with the organisation's vision and values. With a focus on customer service and new product development, this role will collaborate with other sites to expand the business offering.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Driving best-in-class health & safety practices
2. Providing development and people strategies via a leadership team and fostering high performance
3. Implementing innovative supply chain systems
4. Challenging existing systems and processes while developing lean opportunities
5. Collaborating with Technical and Commercial teams on NPD to ensure the business remains dynamic and entrepreneurial
Profile
The successful Operations Manager will possess an exceptional leadership style and enthusiasm for manufacturing, with:
* A demonstrable background in production leadership within a relevant, technical industry
* A proven lean toolkit with practical examples of developing systems and cultures
* Solid understanding of materials and inventory management
* An analytical approach with experience in developing ERP systems
