About the Role
Milk Education is working in partnership with a network of high-performing and supportive secondary schools across Wakefield and South Leeds. We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
This role is ideal for ECTs, experienced teachers, or supply teachers looking for flexible or long-term opportunities. You’ll be supported by strong leadership teams and well-resourced science departments, with the opportunity to make a real impact on students’ curiosity and understanding of science.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics)
Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote high expectations
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Work collaboratively with departmental staff and wider school teams
Uphold safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are working towards it (ECTs welcome)
Strong subject knowledge in Science
Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to raising attainment and inspiring young people
Flexibility and adaptability to work across different school settings
