This is a agency-to-permanent opportunity with the potential for a permanent contract directly with the school if the temporary period is successful.
Responsibilities
* Mentor, support and inspire CYPs (children and young people) with SEMH profiles who may have experienced trauma or adverse childhood experiences.
* Provide compassionate, confident and effective communication to support learning and personal development within a school setting.
* Support students through challenging phases, contributing to a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
* Ideally a graduate of a psychology, criminology or creative arts-based degree (e.g., art, drama, music) providing value to support different learning platforms.
* A valid DBS or willingness to apply for one (£62).
* Proof of right to work.
* References; degree-level education; UK residency.
Requirements & Safeguarding
Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection; must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
Job Details
* Hours: 32 hours per week, day shifts over Monday to Friday (term time only).
* Start Date: ASAP.
* End Date: Indefinite, could become permanent.
* Location: Redbridge.
* Pay: £14 per hour (PAYE).
