Planning and Economic Development Business Support Officer - Antrim
We are recruiting on behalf of Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council for a Planning and Economic Development Business Support Assistant.The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of a high quality, efficient and effective confidential administrative and business support service to the Councils Economic Development and Planning Department.About the role:
1. £ per hour
2. Location: Antrim Civic Centre
3. Hours of Work: 37 hours
4. Duration: Temporary, up to 8 weeks

Main Duties:
7. Demonstrate a team approach to achieving the objectives of the section using a flexible attitude to tasks undertaken.
8. Provide a high level of internal and external customer service including taking ownership of customer queries and complaints and following issues through to completion
9. Continuously develop personal knowledge and skills to enhance internal and external customer service
10. Comply with, and ensure that other staff comply with, Council's policies and procedures including those relating to health, safety, wellbeing and safeguarding.
11. Promote equality and diversity across all service arears through clear leadership, effective policy implementation and demonstrating appropriate behaviours in line with Council values
12. Carry out any other relevant duties which may be assigned including working in other sections of the Department and Council.
Essential Criteria:
13. 5 GCSEs (A-C) including English & Maths (Consideration may be given to those candidates who do not hold the above academic qualification but who can demonstrate a minimum of 4 year's relevant experience)
14. A minimum of 2 years' administrative or clerical experience to include dealing with the general public and minute taking
15. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.

17. Effective organisational and time management skills
18. Ability to work to a high standard with minimum supervision
19. High degree of discretion and confidentiality
20. Competent in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
21. Full current driving licence or, if a disability prevents driving, access to a suitable form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full
22. Be available to work flexibly (including outside of normal working hours when required) to attend roll out community Climate Change Awareness, training and attend meetings as necessary
