About the RoleWe are working with a welcoming and inclusive infant and nursery school based in NG16 to recruit a full-time Learning Support Assistant. This role focuses on supporting children aged 3-4 in the nursery setting, helping to create an enriching, safe, and child-centred environment where all children feel supported, engaged, and eager to learn.
As part of the Early Years team, you'll support both group learning and individual development, including assisting children with additional needs. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands the importance of early childhood education and who thrives in a creative, caring, and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning in the nursery (EYFS)
* Foster social, emotional, and physical development through play and routine
* Provide additional 1:1 or small group support as needed
* Encourage language, independence, and curiosity in young learners
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
* Promote inclusive practices and help children feel confident and secure
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children in early years settings (nursery or reception)
* A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Early Years Education (desirable)
* Warm, caring, and enthusiastic approach to early learning
* Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
* A genuine commitment to child development and wellbeing
