Our client, a well-established and respected legal aid practice in Stratford, is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor with Supervisor status to join their dedicated team specialising in domestic violence cases. About the Role As a Family Solicitor, you'll be handling a full caseload of legally aided family matters with a specific focus on domestic violence cases. This is a full-time position where you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable clients whilst working for a firm with an excellent reputation in the legal aid sector. Key Responsibilities: Managing your own caseload of legally aided family matters from inception to conclusion Specialising in domestic violence cases including injunctions, non-molestation orders, and occupation orders Supervising junior team members and providing guidance on complex cases Attending court hearings and representing clients Providing expert advice on all aspects of family law including divorce, financial remedies, and children matters Building strong relationships with clients and providing compassionate, professional support Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and quality standards What We're Looking For Essential Requirements: Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate Supervisor status (essential requirement) Minimum 3 years PQE in Family Law within a UK legal practice Strong legal aid experience – you must have extensive experience working within the legal aid framework Specific expertise in domestic violence cases including injunctions and protective orders Excellent client care skills with the ability to work sensitively with vulnerable clients Strong advocacy and court representation experience Thorough understanding of Legal Aid Agency requirements and procedures Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and meet deadlines Desirable Skills: Experience with Children Act proceedings Knowledge of immigration issues affecting family law matters Multilingual capabilities (particularly South Asian languages) What's On Offer Competitive Benefits Package: Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience) Full-time position with excellent work-life balance Opportunity to work on meaningful cases that make a real difference Supportive team environment with experienced colleagues Continuous professional development and training opportunities Career progression within an established legal aid practice Work with a firm that has a strong reputation in the community Autonomy to manage your own caseload with appropriate support About Our Client Our client is a well-respected legal aid firm with offices across London, specialising in providing essential legal services to the community.
