Leaflet Distributor Location: Canvey Island Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour PAYE Contract: 2 to 3 Weeks Initially, Potential for Extension Working Hours: Fridays Only, 09:00am to 5:00pm About the Role We are recruiting for a Community Engagement Assistant to support a local public information campaign. This is a customer facing role involving door to door engagement with residents, providing information, answering basic questions, and distributing leaflets and recycling caddies. This is a practical role that would suit someone who enjoys being active, speaking with people, and working outdoors. Previous experience is not essential, but confidence when interacting with members of the public is important. What You'll Do • Visit residential areas as part of a planned route • Deliver leaflets, information packs, and recycling caddies to residents • Engage with members of the public in a professional and friendly manner • Answer basic questions and provide information about the campaign • Record completed visits where required • Represent the organisation positively within the local community What We're Looking For • Confident speaking with members of the public • Comfortable walking for extended periods throughout the day • Good communication skills • Ability to follow planned routes and instructions • Reliable and professional approach • Comfortable working outdoors Who Might Suit This Role This role may suit candidates with experience as a Drivers Mate, Delivery Assistant, Customer Service Assistant, Retail Assistant, General Operative, Environmental Operative, Refuse Loader, Street Cleansing Operative, Grounds Maintenance Operative, Field Operative, Collections Operative, or similar public facing roles.
