QA/QC Engineer – Major Renewable Energy Infrastructure Project (Highlands, Scotland)
Location: Port of Nigg, Highland, Scotland
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a QA/QC Engineer to join a high-profile renewable energy infrastructure project in the Scottish Highlands. The position will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining the project’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring quality standards are met across manufacturing, testing, and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
* Lead certification activities in collaboration with quality consultants.
* Prepare and manage company quality documentation.
* Oversee calibration, inspection, and testing activities.
* Plan and manage internal and external quality audits.
* Establish and monitor quality KPIs, policies, and manuals.
* Manage supplier quality, including audits and performance reviews.
* Oversee document control within the QA/QC department.
* Conduct regular production line and process audits.
* Investigate and respond to process or product non-conformities.
* Coordinate customer satisfaction surveys and audit responses.
* Ensure compliance with shipping approvals and production standards.
Preferred Background
* Experience with HV or EHV power cable testing or similar high-voltage systems.
* Familiarity with electrical and cable testing instruments.
* Understanding of international standards relating to cables and power transmission.
* Experience in managing ISO 9001 audits and certification processes.
* Background in supplier audits, calibration, and equipment asset management.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to plan, prioritise, and manage complex QA processes.
