About the role:
This role is responsible for the accuracy and distribution of the amended timetable plan and for supporting engineering access requests process to ensure impacts to EMRs customers and its operation are minimised and accurately reflected in amended plans.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing the access request process - post the CPPP process – through assessing impact upon the EMR train plan, negotiating with Network Rail and recording outcomes in access request records.
2. Assuring the accuracy of the amended timetable and plan by cross-checking the information received from Network Rail with the amended timetable and diagrams at T-10 and T-1 weeks, and escalating inaccuracies to the responsible Amended Timetable & Resource Planner
3. Assuring the accuracy of rail replacement bus and pass-ride taxi bookings against the amended plan, and escalating inaccuracies to the Road Transport Delivery Manager.
4. Assuring the accuracy of timetable databases, and escalating inaccuracies to the responsible Amended Timetable & Resource Planner or the Permanent Timetable Delivery Manager
5. Creating station and depot documentation – including platform and rolling stock simplifiers
6. Creating and maintaining the Weekly Engineering Circular, ensuring information published to downstream to industry journey planners (such as National Rail Enquiries) is accurate and reflective of the amended plan.
7. Maintaining the distribution of amended planning week information, timetables, and diagrams to internal recipients and / or through updating a dedicated self-service SharePoint site.
About you:
8. Good team player with a flexible, supportive approach.
9. Analytical approach to problem solving - ability to process and resolve complex issues using a range of approaches & techniques.
10. Computer literacy in common applications such as Word and Excel.
11. General knowledge of East Midlands railway geography, the train services and rolling stock operated by EMR.
12. Good verbal and written communication skills.
13. Ability to work under a high degree of pressure.
