Join Our Team as a Works Supervisor!
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Works Supervisor to join our dynamic team on the M6 Routine Operation & Maintenance project near Lockerbie. As a key member of our contract team, you will report directly to the Major Maintenance Manager and play a vital role in our operations.
This position is offered on a Fixed Term Contract until late 2027.

Your Profile
What Will Your Responsibilities Be?
* Organize and coordinate all logistical operations for major maintenance contracts, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
* Liaise with Autolink and external organizations for major maintenance contracts, assisting with inspections and upgrade schemes.
* Manage and supervise various work packages, which may include night and weekend shifts.
* Conduct site reviews of Major Maintenance Scope of Works before project commencement.
* Ensure subcontractors provide proof of up-to-date CSCS and CPCS cards.
* Implement Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure all checks are completed and documented.
* Participate actively in start-up and progress meetings, familiarizing yourself with the scope of works.
* Manage subcontractors in line with CMS requirements and ensure timely documentation of meeting minutes and actions.
* Assist in liaising with various stakeholders, including the Employer's Agent and Emergency Services.
* Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations.
* Maintain driver log books and ensure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
* Report any health and safety breaches immediately, ensuring work is halted until rectified.
What Skills and Knowledge Are Essential?
* Experience in the Highways Maintenance Sector with a solid understanding of relevant processes.
* Good knowledge of maintenance products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
* Familiarity with software packages such as Insight, Highstone, IRIS, and SMS.
* A degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card.
