Our client, a key player in the shipbuilding sector, is currently seeking a Liaison Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in acting as the critical interface between the design office and the production teams on the shop floor, ensuring engineering intent is clearly communicated, understood, and implemented during vessel construction. You will play a vital role in feeding back practical insights from production to improve design efficiency and buildability. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a point of contact between engineering and production departments. Interpret and clarify technical drawings, specifications, and design intent for production teams. Identify and resolve design-to-build issues, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards. Support production planning by providing engineering input on build sequences, material usage, and structural integration. Facilitate design change management, ensuring updates are communicated and implemented effectively. Conduct regular site walkdowns to monitor progress, identify issues, and provide engineering support.
