Overview
We are currently looking for hard working, enthusiastic and friendly people, either RGN or ODP to join our dynamic, fast paced Acute Theatre Suite. We offer wide and varied surgical specialties that include Maxillo Facial, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Urology & Paediatrics, covering Elective and Emergency procedures in all of the afore mentioned specialities. We are delighted to announce that we also have Robotic Assisted Surgical Technology training pathways for specific theatre specialties and its team members.
Responsibilities
* Provide patient care in the Acute Theatre Suite across listed specialties, supporting elective and emergency procedures.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of patient care; participate in Robotic Assisted Surgical Technology training pathways where applicable.
* Contribute to a robust induction program, supported by a full-time Clinical Educator and part-time Education Coordinator.
* Operate in a fast paced theatre environment with a team working ethos.
* Demonstrate flexibility in hours, including shift work, weekends and rotational nights, with the ability to work across all sites in Fife.
* Engage in continuing professional development and participate in funded training programs such as the Advanced Scrub Practitioner programs (levels 1 & 2) and the NES Anaesthetic Competency program.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP).
* Excellent communication skills and evidence of continuing professional development.
* Must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
* Right to work in the United Kingdom (UK) or eligible sponsorship; employer sponsorship possibilities are subject to policy and salary considerations.
