We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our Progression Pathways Department. This is a key role supporting the smooth running of teaching and learning, ensuring continuity for students when their usual lecturer is unavailable.
About the Role:
•Supervise classes across the Progression Pathways curriculum in the absence of teaching staff.
•Deliver pre-prepared learning materials, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
•Provide support for learners with a range of needs, promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
•Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress during cover sessions.
•Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider success of the department.
About You:
•Experience of working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
•A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
•Experience of working with a range of learners with a range of send needs and or students who require a personalised, holistic approach to addresses complex barriers of accessing education.
•Strong communication and classroom management skills.
•A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
•An understanding of the challenges and opportunities within FE and the Progression Pathways provision.
•A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the success of all learners.
