Haughton School is a Primary Special School for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs. Children also have additional needs that may relate to communication & interaction difficulties, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, sensory and physical / medical needs.
We wish to appoint a Personal/Medical Care Assistant to support identified children who have additional personal care and medical needs.
The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the Medical Care Coordinator in providing assistance with routine personal and medical care which includes tube feeding, diabetes management and stoma care. Full training will be given, however previous experience in supporting children with their health needs would be an advantage.
We operate a Safeguarding Policy which promotes the welfare of children. Shortlisted candidates must complete a criminal record self-disclosure form. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
