Clinical Fellow (ST3+ Level) – General Surgery
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow in General Surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The post commences on 5 August 2026 for 12 months, ending 3 August 2027.
The aim of the Clinical Fellow post is to support the General Surgery service and to allow clinical development of the candidate. The department will accommodate a variety of special interests. This post is ideal for an enthusiastic and energetic candidate who has completed Core Training in General Surgery or equivalent with further 1–2 years post‑completion experience in a General Surgery environment.
Responsibilities
* Support the General Surgery service and deliver service in a variety of settings.
* Develop general competencies in Higher Surgical training for General Surgery.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Completed Core Training in General Surgery or equivalent.
* 1–2 years post‑completion experience in a General Surgery environment.
* Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC (licence must be in place prior to starting).
* Post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training.
