Job Title: Breakfast Server
Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and reliable Breakfast Server to join our team at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa which serves up to 130 covers every morning. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to guests during breakfast hours by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet guests promptly and warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
* Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations as needed.
* Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
* Serve food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner.
* Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout service.
* Refill beverages, clear plates, and provide attentive follow-up.
* Process guest checks and handle payments accurately.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
* Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
* Provide excellent customer service and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred, but not required.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
* Basic math skills for handling payments.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
* Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
* Bend, reach, and move quickly during service hours.
Schedule:
Breakfast shifts typically run early mornings through mid-day. Flexibility is required.
