We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a non-verbal pupil in Year 1 who has autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - ASD Support
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Status: Full-Time
Duration: Whole academic year
Pay: £90 - £100 per day based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a non-verbal pupil in Year 1 with ASD.
* Implement communication strategies to support the pupil's engagement and learning.
* Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Foster positive relationships with the pupil, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
* Proactive and compassionate approach to supporting children with special needs.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
* Commitment to a full-time role, Monday to Friday, for the academic year.
